He was also inducted into the Best Doctors of America database and most recently honored by the staff at Newberry County Memorial Hospital as Doctor of the Year 2008. He is humbled and honored by these awards.

Pediatrics of Newberry will be part of a state wide initiative to help combat childhood obesity

Drs Holtzer and White, along with nurse practitioner, Crystal Walker, have been asked to participate in a comprehensive program to combat childhood obesity. They are participating in a program linked to Palmetto Health Richland Children's Hospital. It's quite exciting and we hope will make a difference in the health of the children of Newberry County and surrounding areas. Please call the office for more details.

New Faces at Pediatrics of Newberry!

Please welcome Dr. Scott Carney who will be working with Dr. Holtzer and Pediatrics of Newberry one half day a week, just like Dr Johnston does. He comes to us from Palmetto Health Richland and is a pediatric resident, just like Dr. Johnston. He’ll be with us for the next three years. Please give him a warm welcome!

Dr. Kelly Johnston continues to see patients one half day a week, too. She has been very well received by the Newberry community and has been serving the patients very well. Dr Johnston will be with us for another 9 months.

New Hours of Operation

Our summer hours have now become our permanent hours. Our staff has enjoyed having Friday afternoons to regenerate after a very hard work week. We are still here to serve you two late nights per week.

Mondays and Thursdays until 7PM
Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 5PM
Friday is our half day closing at 1PM.
